If you choose to connect Apple HealthKit or similar services:

We only access the data necessary to operate the App.

2. Mobile Advertising Identifier (MAID) & App Tracking Transparency (ATT)

StepQuest may collect your device’s advertising identifier (such as IDFA on iOS or AAID on Android) only if you grant permission via the App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt.

How ATT Works

On iOS devices, we request permission using Apple’s App Tracking Transparency framework before accessing your advertising identifier. If you decline:

  • We do not access your IDFA.
  • We do not track your activity across other companies’ apps or websites for advertising purposes.

How We Use MAID (If Permission Is Granted)

If you consent, we may use the advertising identifier to:

  • Measure campaign effectiveness
  • Attribute app installs
  • Improve marketing performance
  • Deliver relevant in-app promotions
  • Analyze aggregated usage patterns

We do not:

  • Sell your personal information
  • Combine MAID with precise location data for cross-app behavioural advertising
  • Track you across third-party apps without your consent

You can withdraw ATT permission at any time in your device settings.
